My aussies and I just moved into a new home and we’re able to have a large fenced yard. I’m looking for ideas to increase their movement outdoors, and get them some autonomous activity and sensory experiences. (aka: OMD puppy – I’m WORKING LEAVE ME ALONE! ????)

So far, I have ideas for installing a tetherball on one of the trees, with a spring so she can self-entertain, having some “up” spots – she loves to be up on anything. I’m scouring locally for a large spool, a picnic table or some big logs would work, too! I want to put in some low-raised planks that “level up” as she walks. I’m planning on a dig pit as well. Photo of the crazy one – help me take that crazy look out of her eyes!

What are your ideas for us? Photos, please, if you’ve found something that works well in your yard or park!

You’re such a good dog mama, @programdev ! Love the tetherball idea. Other hanging options: fleece toy on a bungee; pupsicle hung by a rope from a branch; cheese tree (bits of cheese pressed on/in bark of various trees).

Pic of one of my pinschies, who loved to be ‘up’ on things, too. ????
