  Thunderstorm Anxiety When Owner is Away

  i have a duck tolling retriever who the mom says if fine with thunderstorms when she is home even sits and watches them out her front door, but when she is not home he barks and howls when there is a storm….does it work if she reinforces the thunderstorms when she is home for the times she is not home? I am not sure that would carry over.

  I’m not sure what you mean by “reinforce the thunderstorm” – can you explain?

  Also, a little more detail on this pup could help us. How old? Does s/he have any other fears? What have you tried so far to work on this issue?
