Tug Rules – Session 1 with Bliss – Video Demo
???? With our Tug-Toy DIY and HoundTable Tug Chat coming up next week, I thought it would be fun to capture a bit of training I started with Bliss. My plan was to show you the steps I took to get Joy to do the finished Tug-Sit-Tug.
Alas. I rather forgot that I’ve already taught Bliss a default Down. ⬇That is, when she doesn’t know what the winning behavior is, she’ll lie down and wait for further instructions. It’s very nice, I’ll admit, but not what I was going for, in this video. ????
Anyway – you can at least see that I’m luring with a tasty treat ???? to get Bliss to release the tug.
Step 1 and Rule 1: Drop the Tug when I ask you to.
One way teach it during the game, is to trade-for-a-treat.
