I just want to give you a shout out and congratulations. I’m just starting out too and its both exciting and scary but it sounds like you are really on a great trajectory. Letting the pet parents know their actions from their dog’s point of view, how it might effect both their dog’s health and the relationship they are so concerned about developing are great ways to get buy in from the client. Since they have kids they know how uncomfortable it was when their babies were teething, sometimes I make comparison that a puppy has to chew because it is loosing all its baby teeth by the time it is 6 months old! That is a lot of teeth (28 baby teeth and I think up to or about 42 adult teeth in total). That can help them see that providing appropriate chew toys as something more developmentally normal and not just a behavior issue.
