I think they will be on board with it. I’m gonna make the comparison of a person who is treated well at their job for the work they do to someone who gets punished if they don’t do their work. Yes, the person that gets punished will most likely do their work, but it’s because they’re avoiding the punishment that they know will come if they don’t. This person will most likely hate their job and their boss and will do the bare minimum to get by. The person who feels appreciated, on the other hand, will enjoy coming to work and probably go above and beyond for his coworkers and boss (maybe even put in some extra hours). I know that’s the relationship these people would rather have with their dog. It’s unfortunate that these methods are still promoted when we now know there are much better, scientifically based ways, to positively get the results.
