@Meg – I don’t think there’s anything that is completely fail-safe, so I believe in redundancy. Since the dog has not escaped the current harness, how about using a double clip leash and connecting one end to the harness and the other end to a well-fitted (see above!) martingale collar? Is this witzig harness the one that is working?
