Brigid- Thanks so much for sharing. What a great learning opportunity.
So I’ll just talk about the first two videos
1. Brody is at the threshold of the sliding glass door and has a high pitched whine mixed with a series of barks
2. there is a low slow tail wag
3. it seems to me like the bark/whine ratio turns more towards barking the longer into the video and the barks seem to get faster/more intense
In the second video
1. Brody is between the threshold of the sliding glass door, partially in/partially out but with weight back on the back legs due to the steps?
2. Tail is moving a bit faster and is more at the level of the body rather than low.
3. There is a deeper bark than the last video
4. When Brody hears a high pitched noise, he backs outside and does a lip lick.
OK People, lets get some interpretation going!
Brigid can you tell us a bit more about the context of this behavior? Does it happen all the time? Only under certain conditions? What happens next if you go outside with Brody?
