Anna Thanks so much for posting this video. The slow mo helps a lot. I see Lucy putting her head under Dallas. I also see her doing some freezes and look aways, plus the shake off. Lucy They both have curved relaxed bodies with inefficient movements, plus a switching back and forth in terms of who is on top.
To interpret some of this I would say it seems like Lucy is doing a great job setting the pace and arousal level of play. Her freezes help to establish the breaks in play. She seems to indicate to Dallas that the paw over is not acceptable by jumping away, freezing and then doing the shake off. The shake off indicates to Dallas that play can begin again. I see the play evolving into a level that Lucy is more comfortable with as she indicates what is acceptable (continued play) and what is not (freezes, jump backs, look aways). Dallas gets the memo and tones down his paw overs and there are some longer bouts of wrestling before a break. What do you think?
