@Catherine , thank you so much for turning the video so we can view it easier !
and thank you to everyone for your replies 🙂
Also, you are correct Jumbo is a wonderful dog and I am so thankful he is in my life, I got him a year and a half ago so I’m not sure what socialization he has experienced or lack of. We’ve only been to a dog park type setting a few times (not a fan) and he plays a little with other dogs and usually does the paw over or mount behavior but he is usually across the park and not next to me so I’m not sure if he is being protective since he is so far away, is that possible? He is kind of a bulldozer at home pushing my other lab out of the way for attention or toy for sure (she is the black Lab in the video who has had a lot of socialization but no interest in other dogs.
He is such a large dog at 100lbs other pet owners are not happy about his behavior. He will also run alongside another dog while growling while seeming to be having fun, can growling ever be a vocal form of excitement?
@David Yes, interactions seem to change by the second, I find it all sooo fascinating to watch, like kids on a playground! and then freeze each frame, you really see things you may have missed because it happens all so fast.
