Great observations, @Mbanf ! I agree the dog is very tense. Another way to look at the person’s vocalizations is simply to communicate “no threat” as the dog was off-leash in a small space. I think “praise” might be considered only if the *dog* thinks it’s rewarding. Would you agree with that or do you have a different perspective?
