“Closed means closed.” – @Chris – you are bringing up a great point here about CLARITY of our instructions!! And the leashed at all times is a great idea too. I used to us a “puppy line” – I used a 15′ light nylon cord with a swivel snap for a house-line. It was great in the house because it didn’t tangle easily. On the other hand, one challenge with that piece of equipment was it would slide right out from under your shoe if you were on carpet or grass. I took to putting a few knots in the end… which then made it snag in the house… I’m thinking biothane is the answer… what material is your house-leash?
