Ethology is fascinating!
What type of birds? Crows and Jays seem to be popular to study.
I sat in a behavior observation where the dog grabbed “the hand” during the food bowl test. The dog became highly reactive and aggressive after that instant. She was tethered. The behaviorist had no way to release her tether without getting close and, could not get anything close to her to move the bowl away (in hopes the reactivity and aggressiveness would stop). It was an eerie feeling watching that unfold.
