    Management on walks

Create distance from your dog and the car. As far as he needs to not react towards the car.

Have a squeaker (from the inside of toys) on hand and if the dog is looking at the cars , squeeze the toy to make the noise for your dog to look away from car. Reward him for the look away. (Bonus if the dog Is toy driven)

Walk in an area where you are far away from cars! Stay alert and watch for bikes and skateboards passing (I’m guessing this can be a trigger) create distance , step off to the side for them to pass. Look for the trail/sidewalk to have enough room to step off to the side and let people pass or take a minute to chill. Check this before you start your walk making sure you’ll have room. Scoop out some nice walk areas with this in mind.

Right now I think the most important part is too be far away from cars as possible until we start the training/ conditioning bmod.

Teaching this leave it cue on walks is what I would do for the training part. But also some conditioning of seeing the car drive slow( very far away) and having the most super yummy treats follow that view of the car coming.

Lots of great ideas for the bolting out of the house!

I would also put the stick on covers for the window to block out the view outside. Set up an x pen or gate in a round shape in front of door to block the entry way. Allow for enough room in front of door to get in and out. I would teach wait , at doors later on for the training.
