@Catherine Wow. That is amazing watching dog to dog tug, that pup knows drop!! My guys know playing with me , but I never thought about using with them while they play tug. I usually do a recall and than release to play again. That is so cool! I had to watch it a couple of times. In this video I think drop is so important because the arousal level you can tell is starting to rise and as soon as you say drop. It makes them break and “reset” before threshold is too high for both or one of the dogs!! At :35 I love how a treat was giving on the floor but the best reward was going back to play with dog again to play tug! This is so awesome!! Letting the dog go back to what it was enjoying to do is such a valuable reward. I do this when my dogs are playing together outside, I recall and they are released to go back and play as the reward or even if my dog is in a good sniff we will do a recall and they are released to go back and sniff that spot again.
