Those shelter dogs we learn with are amazing teachers! It seems like a number of us have walked that path from volunteering to support dogs in shelters, to eventually becoming professional trainers.
What moved me away from working in sheltering was partially just my aging body not being up to it anymore. I’m wondering what were the impetuses for others?
