Interesting info on predatory drift (dog-dog) as I have considered the drift to be part of the predatory sequence, the difference being that they are “drifting” on their own (smaller) species, i.e Husky on a Chihuahua for example. Which brings up another thought that the drift was more likely to occur in the ancient breeds such as the Husky, Malamute, Chow, Saluki, Akita to name a few of the 12 etc. It is my understanding that these ancient breeds are closer to the wolf than other breeds on the lineage tree.
We are still learning everyday about dogs and so much is still being understood!
