Because I am renting space in a positive reinforcement facility and I advertise myself as a positive reinforcement trainer, I felt it necessary to simply state “flat buckle or martingale collar” in my course description/training contract.
The Impulse Control class is only 3 weeks (with one left), so I most likely won’t even engage the owner in a conversation regarding this. Ultimately, she is going to do what she wants and is most comfortable with outside of my class. If I could go home with her, I would ????
I am just happy that she came to class last night without the prong collar and was willing to try without it. My pipe dream would be for her to throw it away! It may happen and it may not.
