I have found that over the years, just turning and ignoring the jumping does not work well. One simple exercise that works well is when the dog jumps, immediately have the client or dog owner leave and go to a place where dog can’t jump. For example, go into the bathroom and shut the door. Wait 30 seconds and re-engage with dog. If dog does not jump, mark and reward with high value treats. If dog jumps repeat steps
It’s important to ignore dog completely and separate yourself. I find this works better than putting dog in crate or x pen. The exercise works better if the dog can’t see you when you leave
I also incorporate hand targeting and find it as alternate behaviors if needed
