Dear Catherine and Jen: Thank you for your guidance and feedback. It seems the best position seems to be in a DOWN position. I have watched several videos and the best seem to be on the floor rather in standing on a table. I am not sure about the clicking sound and why that is necessary as in VIDEO # 3 . Yesterday, I held the turned on the Lucky Tail grinder next to him and he just kept nibbling on the chicken. No stress observed. Now I believe the next step is to touch his paws with it off. I am slowly advancing step by step. I have done this several times in the past, but have always had help. I will no longer have my husband hold him down. STRESS ! In addition, I have been adding the scratch board ( can I send that video) Also, give the paw/shake . Since, he is scratching, I find he will scratch my hand vs. just rest in my hand. Its less than a fleeting second. I don’t know if I am just confusing him. I am also working on the chin rest, and placing my hand under his chin without touching is getting better, but not 100%. He will flinch and turn away on that. All these little details is making it more complicated. Maybe it’s just me. Thank you for showing these extra videos and how to hold the grinder too. It is so appreciated. So you can place the grinder under the nail and roll up and then around the right and then left side of the nail around the borders. I WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS BY HOOK OR BY CROOK !
