My boy Bumble is 3 1/2 years old. He can be reactive to other dogs, but generally is ok with some distance. I took him for a walk in the park with other dog friends, and he was fine, until he saw a bicyclist. The growling, lunging, spitting, was really disturbing, and it was really hard to hang on to him to move him farther away from the source of the crazy behavior. I have borrowed a bike and ridden past him on our driveway, and he couldn’t care less. So now I am afraid to go back to the park in case there is a stroller, or bike, or motorcycle…since he doesn’t react to the bike at home..how can I work on the reactivity without getting anyone hurt??
Bumble is in good health, and lives with 3 other dogs. But of course, 2 of them are herding dogs!!
