Bubble Theory? Just social media click bate or somthing innovative?
Hi guys! I have been seeing this ad EVERYWHERE on the social media platforms…. A dog owner who claims he hs cracked the code in solving all agression issues in dogs. Now of course he starts with a personal story about his own dog and how dog trainers gouge owners of money with nothing to show for it and finally how he had spent 4 years researching solutions which led him to this “bubble theory” blah blah blah. I was pretty skeptical especially since he was bashing dog trainers, behavior specialists, people who have studied and lived and breathed dogs… but after he explained the theory…. It actually made some sense.
The basis of the theory is working with the dog around its trigger without popping the “bubble”. And then eventually getting the dog used to the stimulus by not triggering it and thus shrinking the bubble until it dissolves. This sounds alot like counter conditioning to me, and I really like the idea of a bubble around the dog that slowly dissolving and does not pop.
I am just curious what others thoughts are on this “bubble theory” and if anyone saw this ad and what they thought about it.
Phote of Pirate my boy who has dog agressive tendencies for funsies????????
