Calling all Summer Treat Recipes! 📣
Posted by Keala Baclayon on June 3, 2023 at 7:04 am???? What do you do when it’s to hot to go outside? What better way to kick off the summer than with a boba! I like bobas????…okay I LOVE bobas. One day I had decided to make Wai a pet friendly boba, one for pups. It was a success! ???? Wai said it was 4/4 paws. So then it was created, the Poba. A pup friendly boba for sunny summer days. ???? Here is a video recipe Wai and I made.
What treats do you give your pups under the summer Sun? Please share any and all ideas! ????

What a yummy idea, @keala! May I ask what the purpose of the straw is? Do you use paper straws (in case dog eats it)?
I often recommend frozen pupsicles to clients, with a base is low-salt broth. (Never thought to use fruit juice!) Then, any tidbits the dog enjoys can be added before freezing. You can even add a ‘loop’ before freezing (you’ll see in video). Then you can hang it from a branch at the dog’s nose level. Because it moves, it creates an interesting challenge.Change Thumbnail -

Thank you! ???? I usually use popsicle sticks in place of the straws. The straw is more for decoration ????. I LOVE the rope and broth idea! ????

Sorry I forgot to add that when using the popsicle stick, I would either hold popsicle or let dog eat it by themselves. With a watchful eye of course ????. Thank you for sharing the video! ????

How do you create the loop? What do you hang the frozen treat with from the tree?

@minid21 , in the video of my friend’s dog (above), she used a zip tie. Place it in whatever ingredients you put together for the ‘popsicle’ before freezing.

I am making one of these today. It’s a toy and a treat. Thanks.

This is so fun! I might try using a treat stick or a dental chew rather than a popsicle stick or straw, just for safety. I love the cute video and instructions! Thanks for sharing this “cool” idea. I’m inspired to get chillin’.

I put a layer of kibble and/or treats in a slow feeder, cover it with water, and put it in the freezer.
