Creative Enrichment for Teething Puppy!
I found this coconut at our local produce market. For under $3 it’s a great “toy” for my teething 5mo old Aussie pup, Bliss. She finds it fascinating to roll around and to try to pick up. Of course, I’ve got to keep an eye on her while she has it. Once she discovers she can crack it open, those sharp edges will be no joke! Until then, it’s hard, rolls and smells good to her. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve given a dog as “enrichment”? I need more ideas… we still have a long way to go to get through adolescence!

I am thinking maybe Bliss needs one of those rolling balls that churns ice cream for you!
One of the things I find most interesting about enrichment items is the different ways that dogs choose to interact with them. TP Fortune Cookies for instance – some dogs push them about, grab them and rattle them, tear them to bits! Other dogs, like Puzzle in this and this video, take a more investigative approach.
