DE: How Creative is Your Dog? (And, how QUICK are you?)
Have you ever played around with capturing novel behavior from your dog? Try this: get out a big box (something sturdy enough to hold your dog’s weight, but that you don’t mind if they claw or bite it.) And try playing 101 Things to do with a Box.
This is a game where you mark and reward (click and treat) the first time your dog does something new. Don’t click for the same behavior twice. We recommend having a start and stop cue for this game. I say, “Show me something” to get started and end with “That’s all” and a kibble scatter. Here are great examples of how to start this game and an advanced version of the game by Aubrey Sperry, CDBC, CPDT-KA
