Equipment share: Atlas Leash
Hi!
I just wanted to share an amazing tool that just got even MORE amazing for me: BoldLeadDesigns Atlas Leash.
https://boldleaddesigns.com/shop/the-atlas-leash-the-most-useful-dog-lead-ever-created/
It’s an 8-way (over 9’ long) leash, in either leather or vegan leather. It has heavy duty clasps at either end. It has O-rings along the leash, in sections and works as:
A waist- or shoulder- leash
A leash to walk two similar sized dogs at once
A long line (9’ or so)
A portable tethering system…THIS is what I’m super psyched to use with my clients for jumpy and mouthy dogs, too tender them temporarily away from owner so they can work with their dog without “the mouth” getting to them! Just recently used on a small dog who was sitting on her owner when she had fallen, and to help lady up without dog on top of her.
Also makes an 8’, 7’, 6’ or even 4’ leash
A portion of proceeds supports Atlas Assistance Dogs
AND…made in the USA!
I have used these leashes in 2 different widths to walk my daily walking clients dogs and have had really great success in forming LLW to the point of beginning Heeling work, with dogs who aren’t even my training clients, per se. I’ve had both in Vegan leather (better for rainy walks). Also, I can wipe them down between users with cleaner, if someone pees on it accidentally!
You know, when you find something good, you wanna share with your friends. They are pricey ($80-110) but I have had a couple clients purchase one. I have used one because two other professional walkers I know ended up having shoulder surgeries, due to the nature of the job. Just wanted to share. ????
