I’m Heather, a developing pro — glad to be here with all of you positive people. I became acquainted with CATCH when researching workshops. I attended a workshop in March, and I’ve been hooked with CATCH ever since, and I’m now in the midst of the Master Class, working on Phase 3 right now.

I have had dogs most of my life, mostly Labs I’ve trained myself. About four years ago I adopted Jade, a GSD mix. I got the training bug with her, she was too smart for me (still is!).

My husband and I have provided daycare and boarding in our home for the last six years, and I’m just starting out with professional training. I’m thrilled to be here to learn from all of you fine folks.

Welcome Heather! So glad you introduced yourself. And I LOVE this photo. Jade is lovely – and clearly she feels the same about you as you do about her!

Welcome to D.D. Heather! Excited to see what you contribute to our community. How has your experience been entering professional dog training so far?

Thank you, Krish. I am loving every second of training dogs. I now work for South Metro Dog Training, the owner is a CATCH grad! She and I met at a CATCH workshop in March. I am mostly working with puppies for now, which is great. Can’t wait to learn more from all you fine folks and my Master Class.

    Welcome @heatherac!

That picture of you and Jade sure put a smile on my face. Sometimes you can just see the connection between a person and their dog; that photograph really captures that. Who took the picture for you?

Aw, thanks! A friend and former professional photographer – photo credit goes to Sarah Hanson. She took a bunch of us for me to use to promote dog training.

Having a photograph that captures that connection can be a very powerful way to reach potential clients!

…which reminds me that I really need to get a more recent picture of me for this kind of use.
