Hi everyone! ????
I am really enjoying being a student in CATCH masters program. I have learned so much already !
I have 3 dogs – 2 Labs Dessa who is a career changed guide dog and Jumbo a current therapy dog. Daisy is my senior lady a chiweenie terrier mix and former flyball height dog.
I love canine enrichment and have enjoyed volunteering with service dog organizations over the past 15 years.
Its so great to be in this community of fellow dog lovers !

What fun! Thanks for jumping in and introducing yourself, @Juli ! Glad you are here. I got my start raising pups for Guide Dogs many moons ago (several decades worth of moons, actually!) Where in CA are you? Did you raise Dessa?

Hi @Juli ! You’re very welcome! He definitely does live up to his name. There are very few things he won’t tackle. He’s a typical stoic lab when it comes to pain and overdoing it. I have to be his better judgment for him haha! But I love him.
Yes, I can definitely give you some more info. So, Family Paws is a program/niche that focuses on dog and baby/toddler dynamics. We help to support families who either already have children and a dog (s) in the house or who are expecting. There’s a lot moving parts (hence, dynamics lol). In a nutshell, we don’t want to put it on the dog to accept babies/children. We want the dog to be taken into account.
