Introducing myself 😁
Hi there! My name is Cassie I am 23 years old & from Minnesota. I decided I wanted to get into dog training after getting my first puppy! What interests me the most is dog body language & problem solving skills, coming up with solutions both the dog & owner can do. Also learning learning learning all I can!
There are four dogs in my life, Buddy (13) he is a Shihtzu Chihuahua, I got him when I was 12 years old, so I have grown up with him. He loves to hunt small rodents.
Raenyra, my now 8 month old puppy, who inspired me to expand my training knowledge. She is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mixed with a German Shorthair Pointer. I could write pages of how amazingly brilliant she is, and how goofy she is too????.
Oakley, my roomates puppy, she is a One year old Blue Heeler Corgi. She makes alot of funny noises when she’s wrestling with Raenyra, shes very smart & loves to bite ankles. One of our dwarf goats isn’t afraid of her at all and will charge at her, and get her if she isn’t paying attention!
And last is Sawyer, also my roommates dog. He is a German Wire Haired Pointer / Husky. He is 4 years old. He loves playing ball, and carries one almost everywhere!

Yup! she can find her decoy antlers pretty great every time, but we have never found any in the wild yet.

It’s a matter of time, and being in the right place – can’t wait to hear about it when she does! Do you teach an automatic retrieve for this or do they have some other alert? Are you competing in the sport, or just doing it for fun?

Ooooh, this is so cool! I had a friend who taught a variety of animals to hunt shed antlers, including a dog, a pig, and a raven!

We have 3 Nigerian dwarf goats, from left to right is Jacob, Rose & Ellen. We want to get into doing goat soaps & milk! Jacob & Rose are friendly but Ellen isn’t a fan of being petted. They have some silly personality’s haha.

Goats are soooo smart! All the positive reinforcement training, and especially clicker training, work well with goaties. Have you tried teaching any behaviors, specifically?
