Kind, Professional, Caring: A reminder about the Digging Dogs Culture
I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the incredible compassion and support we strive to show, not just for the dogs we work with, but also for the people we work with, whether it be clients, shelter volunteers, co-workers or colleagues.
Every story is unique, and sometimes there are factors we may not see or fully understand.
From our Guiding Principles:
Be Open-Minded – Seek first to understand, then to be understood. Be empathic and non-judgmental.
Be Caring – Help dogs, help people. Use a LIMA approach in training and behavior solutions.
From our Community Rules:
Be Respectful and Professional. It’s okay to discuss and debate, but be thoughtful and caring in the way you communicate. Do not use rude, offensive or hurtful language of any kind. If you experience inappropriate or hurtful dialogues, notify an administrator.
See All Our Rules & Guidelines here.
Let’s continue to support each other with empathy and grace toward all as we navigate challenging cases together. Thank you all for being a wonderful, thoughtful community!
