I’ve been dealing with Toki’s death by memorializing him in every way I can. To me, it helps keep him “here”. In some ways it’s healthy, in some ways maybe not so much, but it’s helping me right now. I found out that Funko Pops has an online app (Pop Yourself) that allows you to customize a figurine and even include a dog or cat! I ordered mine, then further customized it by adding Toki’s markings and some personal details like making my locket gold, adding tattoos, etc. I’ve included before and after pics. Enjoy! If anyone else has done this, please share here!

@LisaOMy THAT’S BEAUTIFUL to memorialize Toki. Those figurines are so cute! I hope looking at them brings you great comfort.
My daughter gave me a paw print that had a tiny photo of my dogs inscribed into a gem (necklace) in rose gold. The picture is the one I use for my business logo.
When you hold the gem up to a light, you can look thru and see the image. ????
I used to wear mine daily, then skipped awhile and am back to wearing it, especially when I’m feeling wistful for them.

Be gentle with yourself. You are allowed to grieve the way you need to grieve, and no one should be judging you for it, not even yourself. 😉
The loss of my sweet Joy still takes my breath away at times, when I least expect it. It is what it is.

Oh my, that’s a wonderful idea! I didn’t know that Funko-Pop did that. You will always have this memento to look to as a piece of him in a personalized work of art. Look on it and remember all those little things that made him special, those moments that are yours forever.
