More polite greetings on the walk
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a puppy client of mine with our first attempts at polite greetings, on leash, in his yard. Julie, his owner, is awesome. She really practices this in all settings, softball games, camping and fishing trips, with her daughter’s friends.
We were practicing our LLWing, with a side Sit-Down-Sit combo at street crossings. They don’t have curbs in her community, but there is a busy lakefront area nearby for her to practice. We used the nearby intersection to practice, and also, for me to approach in a more natural setting, on the walk!
You’ll hear me greeting her and him as a stranger would. Let me know your thoughts. Hoping when I get back to do a field trip with them to the lakefront or a nearby downtown area (small suburb of Chicago).
After all, who doesn’t wanna get this 5-month old, handsome as heck puppy-boy?!? Oh, and the second video was just some very nice LLW with owner and pup, on the way back to their house to play games! (Find it with muffin tins/tennis balls and Pup in a Box game).
