Thank you for inviting me to the party!
I want to introduce myself and share a little about who I am and why while I am going into my retirement years I decided to become a dog trainer! My life-long career of choice has been in the airline/travel industry and currently I am employed at our local University.
I have been rescuing dogs for as long as I can remember, literally decades! I vetted them and found great homes for them, Once in awhile there would be a dog that I couldn’t find a home for, for one reason or another so I kept that dog myself providing a loving home. I have volunteered at the local animal shelter and have see the revolving door there with some dogs being adopted but returned for one reason or another – this is a pet peeve of mine but more on that later. My ultimate goal is to show and help people build a trusting, positive, fear-free relationship between them and their dog.
I am so happy I found CATCH after years of researching dog training programs, which can be daunting as I am sure you guys are aware of, where there is mentorship with experienced trainers, a high quality curriculum and a platform with fellow students where we can share knowledge and ask questions. I am looking forward to reading and learning on this platform! So HI to all of you my fellow dog lovers!!! Here’s a picture of the loves of my life! Simon and Rook! Both rescued and living their best lives!!
