Troubles with Potty Training – 3month old puppy
What to do about A three month old puppy that is barking and scratching at the walls when pooping. The owner is struggling with potty training, partially because of the refusal to use crate to minimize accidents. I wonder if the owner’s anxiety is affecting the puppy. What can be done to change this barking/scratching right before and during pooping?

@ariella I moved your post over to this Puppies channel and added a photo to get more attention. If you could give us a few more details, that will help members give you great answers. For example, I’m curious about your comment regarding the crate… can you tell us more about that? Is the pup pooping in the crate?
With the scratching at the walls – I can’t really visualize what is happening. Can you please tell us more about the context of this behavior? Does it happen every time? Is the puppy trying to get outside?
What have they done, proactively, to help the puppy learn to potty outside?
