This is fantastic, David! Thanks for sharing. Lido is a silly boy and I love the way he looks at you when playing this game. His body language definitely shows how much he enjoys the contact. Also – your signal for “Begin Game Now!” is so clear…. love this!

I love this game!!! Thanks, David! I needed the reminder of how fun little touch games can be better than treats for dogs.

I used to play a little game with my big Berner, Samson. He would bring his tire toy to me, his nose through the hole, and I would put my hands on the tire, like a steering wheel, and pretend to drive a car, while singing, “Driving the car, (3x)…BEEP BEEP!” On the BEEP’s, I would stop and honk his nose gently. He would grrr softly, asking to do it again!

Attaching an action shot…unfortunately, I never got a video.

???? Fun game, @Bernerlabreclectus ! It’s great that you have such an affectionate and playful relationship. Do you have other playful ways that you reinforce certain behaviors he offers?

This is great, one of the things Stella loves to do is play with a soft blanket. I will toss it over her and she will wrestle in it and then pop out. Repeat, it is one of her favourite things to do together and will often bring her favourite lammy toy into the game where I cover the toy for her to dig out and sometimes both she and her toy and then she will pop out with lammy in her mouth, tail wagging and looking right at at me “come on, mom – again” with often the front paws down play stance. She can do this for several minutes and then wants to snuggle on the couch. Great way to end her day with some play and then down time to relax before bed.

Thank you for sharing David! I love these videos it reminds me how important praise and petting can be to dogs. Look how happy Leto is! This makes the human-animal bond stronger.
