He did it! My 11 year old is trying his hand at some obedience. Pirate’s occupation has always been part time sled dog, part time brut and I wasn’t sure how he was going to take to being my student dog. Challenge accepted! It has taken awhile but my boy has mastered basic obedience, may targeting and EVEN HEELING!!! I am so incredibly proud of him. I figured this group would understand, why I am so excited and I just had to share( cue happy dance)Fantastic way to start the new year???? Any one else have a training success this year that just tickled them pink?

Kudos to you, @mtnwolfpup ! I can feel your joy over the cyber waves! It’s quite an accomplishment, and I bet Pirate has really been enjoying it, too.

This is so awesome, @mtnwolfpup – congrats at unlocking Pirate’s puzzle solving genius!

They say that solving puzzles reduces Alzheimers symptoms/progression in humans… I bet that learning new things is as beneficial for old dogs. Keep up the curiosity and fun times!
