This is an interesting one @RADS – thank you for sharing with us! One technique I have tried in the past is a relatively low-key activity for the dog to do to help them settle into “bedtime mode.” Essentially creating a “calm down, it’s time for bed” routine like you do with small children. Could they perhaps use a similar technique where the dog gets a tasty bedtime snack and is asked to enjoy that snack on her bed or in her crate?
Has anyone else tried a similar technique? Did it work for you? What other methods have folks tried?
