@denny Thanks for your questions and concerns.

Since he has already shown these behaviors that have escalated, I would not rehome due to them. There just is not enough resources for dogs with behavior concerns and people to follow through. In my area, most fosters, shelters, non-profits, rescues etc. claiming to “save lives” want nothing to do dogs who are less than “perfect”.

I know what you mean and agree. I do not think it applies here, as all go “about business as usual” with some safety related changes i.e no more 2 handed pets, no more faces near his face, no couches, etc.

Barkley is separated from the other dogs at this time unless strictly supervised. He has been learning that being calm in their presence pays off. Actually, when he walks with my dog Titan, he gains confidence and his body language changes- he becomes an instant “better” dog. Titan is very much part of the B-Mod.

It is a very complex case, as triggers and antecedents causing the behaviors are constantly changing. It makes it hard to set him up to succeed since what has worked 1 or 5 times may no longer work in addition to things he has been comfortable with for the last year, are now causing him fear.

    Thanks again for your thoughts!
