Agreed @lisad – what I noticed, and thought was truly wonderful, is all the happy engaged body language throughout the whole behavior – not just when the verbal praise began. From his ear movements in response to her greeting, to his jaunty tail wag – he seemed to be have a wonderful time “working” with his person!
This got me to thinking about how behaviors themselves can be reinforcing, in desirable and undesirable ways.
