I attended this session and found it very helpful. As a student, I didn’t have much real-life experience to draw on, but I took a lot of notes and enjoyed the stories. One suggestion that really stood out to me was when Ferdie addressed aversives, like prong collars, with clients who wanted to use them. He suggested asking the client to think about other species of animals that are well-trained. “Have you ever seen a sea lion or a chimpanzee wearing a prong collar?” Great question to pose.
