Thank you Catherine. You’re right, shelter/rescues don’t have the money for behaviorists always. I suggested medication through a vet and they are going that route.

The dog has been returned 4 times from adopters for this kind of behavior….

This is what I am never sure of, when to handle issues myself as a trainer or to have them contact a vet behaviorist. I am working with a foster mom with a dog afraid of everything! nips, barks, growls, is frantic when triggered. So many things at play, not sure when it is over my head….

Unless my daughter has her baby, I will be there!

So interesting, the change in Phunky outside! The video inside didn’t show Phunky sniffing Lido’s butt, but outside, Lido gave Phunky lots of time to do that. Being satisfied in whatever Phunky smelled, he started playing again. Do you think that outside, Phunky felt less trapped than inside and that’s why he felt much freer?

Phunky and Lido had some nice play engagement at the beginning, and like everyone stated, at about 30 seconds, Phunky’s body language changed after Lido was sniffing.
